An episode of the popular early TV comedy "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show", which aired during the 1950's on CBS. In this live episode, Gracie and Blanche try to get Harry and George to take Rumba lessons. Very enjoyable and way better than most of NBC's new fall line-up.

An episode of the classic TV comedy "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show", which I presume aired during the 1st of November, 1954. This episodes consists of two segments: one with Gracie trying to get a drivers licence, and a second about George writing a book. Contains original commercials, but my video source is mediocre.

Please excuse the mediocre picture quality caused by mediocre video source. NOTE: due to a request by torgman, I changed the heading of this upload.

A rather dated but enjoyable episode of "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show", aired 16 August 1951 over the CBS Television network (episode title: Space Patrol Kids Visit). This popular comedy starred the famous comedy couple playing their trademark characters. The series lasted eight seasons. I do hope the upload turned out fine.

An episode of "The George Burns and Grscie Allen Show", an early and popular live TV comedy. This episode sees Gracie creating a lot of confusion for a Tax man. My source says this aired 1 March 1951. It may be wrong, though. As usual, the picture quality is somewhat poor, due to poor source material.

Another episode of the early TV comedy, "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show". This episode features a common plot used in early TV, the "crazy fad diet" plot. The show was quite popular, though ratings charts from the period are inconsistent and unreliable. This is reportedly Episode 23 of Season 1, aired 2nd of August, 1951 (my source may be wrong). Complete with Original Commercials. This live broadcast has fairly poor picture quality (my DVD copy is poor).

An episode of the early television comedy "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show". This episode is presumably from 26 April 1951, judging by the cast. Sweet, light, and with some moderate historical value (such as the brief reference to "jump records"). Complete with original commercials for Carnation Evaporated. Episode title is unclear, as the episode has been called both "Teenage Girl Spends the Weekend" and "Visiting Teenager". Sorry for somewhat...

Another example of 1950's Popular culture, in this case an episode of "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show" possibly called "Too Much of the Mortons" and possibly aired the 5th July, 1951. In this show, Gracie plays her trademark ditzy character, George plays the straight-man, while Bea Benaderet and Fred Clark play an unhappy married couple (though they are happier here than in some other episodes). The Live show was always light, harmless entertainment.

Another episode of the old CBS sitcom "The George Burns and Gracie Show", and in this episode, the ever-scatterbrained Gracie loses her engagement ring. Perhaps not as good as "Citizen Kane", but still a million times better than MTV's new fall line-up. Original aired live on 13th March, 1952, and presented here with the original commercials for Carnation Evaporated Milk. Please forgive mediocre picture quality caused by mediocre DVD.

An episode of "The George Burns Show". Notice the lack of an "Allen" in the title. Gracie retired and George continued with this short-lived series. This episode aired 23 December 1958 on NBC. It contains the original commercials for Halo shampoo, Colgate Dental Cream (with Gardol), and Fab detergent. The episode also features a very annoying laugh-track.

Another long, but amusing commercial from the early 1950s for Carnation Evaporated Milk. This live commercial (recorded via kinescope) aired on CBS-TV around 1950. As some may have guessed, this comes from the "Burns and Allen" show. As expected for the program, the sponsor was promoted with two brief plugs at the start and end of the show, and one rather long (3 to 5 minutes) commercial in the middle that was connected into the storyline.

Another classic 1950s commercial, this time for Carnation Evaporated Milk. As some of you may have guessed, it is from the "Burns and Allen" show, which typically used an unusual advertising system: Two brief plugs at the start and finish of each 30 minute episode, and one long, often 3-minute commercial mid-way through the program. The commercial aired live, presumably in 1951 (I am having trouble with the episode title), and recorded via Kinescope. This is the first of several...

Life with Elizabeth was a sitcom which aired from 1953 to 1955. The show starred Betty White and Del Moore; Jack Narz was the on-camera announcer and narrator. PREMISE: Elizabeth and Alvin are a married couple who live an ordinary suburban life, but inevitably managed to get into predicaments. At the end of most predicaments, Alvin, in variable degrees of frustration, would say, "I shall leave you now, Elizabeth" and would walk out of sight. The announcer would say, "Elizabeth,...

A 1954 episode of the NBC Television Network sitcom "I Married Joan" entitled "The Clothes Budget". Possibly the most jumpy, confusing, and at times sloppy episode of this series, though it's still funny. The series is very similar to "I Love Lucy" (1951-1957), which itself is similar to "Mary Kay and Johnny" (1947-1950). A moderate success, it lasted 3 seasons but never made the Top 20. Annoyingly, this is an edited print.
